Why Mindset Matters
Everything you have in your reality you created, it all started as a thought. Your education, your job or business, even your relationships. They all first started as a thought, a potential, in your mind.
In order for them to become reality you had to have the intention met with an elevated emotion. In other words you had to believe it was possible for you.
Or to put it another way, we first create in the mind, then we make it reality by taking appropriate action.
Therefore any change you want in your life WILL come from your mind first.
Your mind is your control centre.
But what happens if you don’t believe it’s possible for you?
We all have examples of times we’ve limited ourselves with our inner dialogue “you’re not good enough to do that”, “no one will listen to you”, “if you do that you’ll be found out as a fake and exposed” I could go on, but you get the idea!
Before we talk about how you change, you need to know we all have two levels of mind; conscious and the subconscious.
The subconscious is the part that runs the show 95% of the time. It’s responsible for so many functions (breathing, heart rate, heat regulation etc) but also stores memories of the past, and how we need to be and act in order to fit in with the world around us, so we’re accepted!
Now consider that the subconscious mind is learning its programming from birth until the age of 7-8 years old, by which point it has learnt enough about the world you live in to set an inner programme of beliefs and automatic behaviours/responses to different situations.
Once you reach adulthood, unless you’ve done any level of mindset work, you will still be running off these belief patterns developed during your younger years. But along the way
Can you start to see the importance of why mindset matters?
How many times have you tried to change something, only to end up battling away to ultimately end up where you started?
This is why.
Without taking mindset seriously, and more specifically changing your subconscious hard wiring, you will continue to run off the same programming of beliefs, and therefore keep taking the same actions, that will keep getting you the same results.
Change your mindset, change your life!
